Get out of town for Fall MacCamp 2024!
Friday October 4th — Sunday 6th 2024.

Come join us in fabulous Sandy, Oregon for MacCamp, a weekend-long experience focusing on in-depth instruction and hands-on training opportunities far beyond the General Meeting presentations. The friendly social atmosphere (with great snacks and available hot tub) provides additional learning opportunities and the frequent occurrences of new friendships.

The fall is when Apple usually releases new versions of their operating systems, and we are planning to cover the latest updates to macOS 15 Sequoia, iOS & iPadOS 18, and visionOS 2. We are planning on additional classes, and if you are interested, please let us know what you want to see at info@pmug.org

The Freeform app was released by Apple about a year ago. It encourages users to lay out their ideas on an ever expanding workspace (whiteboard). You can enter text, photos, draw your own graphics, and more. This space can also be shared live with other Freeform users. Chris Kent has been using this and will share her experiences.

Backing Up Your iCloud Content

Apple’s iCloud is a great way to sync data like your Contacts, Calendars, and Photos. Although Apple has not had any high profile disasters, it still is a good idea to make backups of your data to protect yourself from any accidents. Joshin Yamada will cover what you can backup, and what you can’t.
