DESCRIPTION:Program: Living without a Mac…   Could you transition to an iPadOS only lifestyle? / Discussion by All of Us\n \nWIth Apple slowly modifying macOS to closer resemble its iPadOS cousin\, it hints towards a future with many possibilities. Just last month Apple announced that 50% of all Mac sales were to first time buyers – a significant rise of new adopters\, enticed by their exposure to their iOS devices. While we probably aren’t heading towards an ‘iOS only’ Apple world\, it is worth looking at what it would be like to work predominantly without relying of on the comfort zone of our Mac devices. \nSome of our members are doing just that\, and many more are adding iPadOS app workflows to compliment their Mac counterparts. Recently added features such as file sharing and the ability to plug in accessory devices\, open a new range possibilities to work without the need of learning and supporting multiple OSes.\nFind out how to get more out of your iPad! \nJoin our virtual meeting for great information and camaraderie. \nHow to Attend: \nSince the beginning of the pandemic we have held our monthly General Meetings via the Zoom app. It has worked very well\, making attendance convenient for our growing number of members from outside the Portland area. \nPMUG will send out an email with an electronic invitation that will start a Zoom virtual meeting on your computer or iOS device. DESCRIPTION:PMUG September In Person Meetup \nOur first in person social event was a success – 14 of us had a great time hanging with friends and making new ones. For September\, PMUG has reserved a large meeting room (AKA party room) at the Milwaukie Round Table Pizza\, which has many options to purchase for food and beverages\, including gluten free crusts.\nAfter so many virtual gatherings\, we’d love to see you in person. The meet ups will occur monthly in good weather and when not conflicting with other PMUG events. The locations will alternate between the east side /west side of PDX as well. Details on how to attend are listed below.\nLet us know you are coming! RSVP: Info@pmug.org \nHow to Attend: \nTell us that you want to attend by sending a confirmation to info@pmug.org.\nPreordering is not required but Round Table likes to give you the option to order ahead of time because orders are made as they come in. \nTo Preorder: \nCall Round Table at (503) 653-6444 to communicate that you are with PMUG’s group September 23th 5pm in party room 2. When you arrive\, at the registers\, give your name if you preordered. You can also add drinks\, salad\, etc. at this time.
