DESCRIPTION:Program: WWDC 2023\, A Discussion of Apple’s New Releases. / By All of Us / \nSuperlatives and metaphors are exhausted. \nMonday June 5th Apple opened its 2023 World Wide Developer Conference with a highly polished video keynote address. It was an explosion of new software and hardware products and a good workout for the wide array of Apple executives who presented innovation after innovation for two solid hours. \nOn the software side were iOS 17\, iPadOS 17\, watchOS 10\, tvOS 17\, and macOS 14 Sonoma\, plus new apps for each platform. \nThe new hardware completed the Mac’s transition to Apple Silicon with a new 15 inch MacBook Air\, and a formidable new Mac Pro that the rumor mill had somehow failed to foreshadow. There were also a new Mac Studio and a new “Adaptive Audio” feature for AirPods Pro 2. \nTo top it all off was “One More Thing\,” Apple Vision Pro\, Apple’s leapfrogging entry into the augmented reality / virtual reality market. Apple revealed that over 5000 patents were filed during the years long development of Vision Pro and VisionOS. Apple Vision Pro will start at $3499. Will you be able to live without it? At our June general meeting all the new Apple marvels will be on the table for discussion.
