DESCRIPTION:Program: Preview.app – The Super Power You Didn’t Know You Had / By Our Experts + The Group / \nWhen you buy a Macintosh\, you get a “raft” of capable programs for free. Some are well known: Pages\, Keynote\, Number’s. A few are stealth powerhouses. “Preview” is one of those. It isn’t just good for viewing PDF files (and JPEGs and PNGs and TIFFs). It has a “hidden” toolbar that gives the user the ability to manipulate PDFs and other files in fun and useful ways. It is even a kind of poor man’s Photoshop. (OK\, a pauper’s Photoshop.) \nAt our April meeting we will do a deep dive into the many capabilities of this Apple freebee. Our experts will lead\, but we know other members have tricks and techniques to reveal also. DESCRIPTION:Spring MacCamp (via Zoom) April 21st\, 22nd\, 23rd\, 2023 \nMacCamps have always been the premier events of the PMUG year. With continuing issues related to the pandemic and to better serve some of our more distant members\, Spring 2023 MacCamp will be via Zoom. \nIn previous MacCamps via zoom we have had two Zoom Rooms active\, each with interesting activities and presentations. There were also breakout rooms where members could meet with friends for a separate conversation on any topic they liked. Thus the wonderful community aspect of PMUG was maintained even when we could not meet in person. \nThis spring MacCamp will feature a social gathering on Friday and three in depth presentations on Saturday and Sunday: Apple Notes\, Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X\, and Books.
