SUMMARY:March 9th General Meeting / Time Machine and Best Backup Practices
DESCRIPTION:Many people are using Apple’s free Time Machine backup software\, but we have heard many complaints that people don’t know how to actually restore files from their backups. PMUG Member Charles DeVore will give a live demostration on how to restore files from a Time Machine backup\, including warnings about why you might want to also use an alternative form of backup as well. \nCome join us at the Jean Vollum Natural Capital Center (Ecotrust Center)\, 721 NW Ninth Avenue. [Apple Maps][Google Maps] Question and Answer hour starts at 6:30pm\, with the main discussion starting around 7:30 pm and ending at 9 pm. \nIf you find that you want to divest yourself of your old Apple hardware to make way for something new and shiny\, you can bring up to 5 items to swap at the meeting
