DESCRIPTION:Program: Preview.app – The Super Power You Didn’t Know You Had / By Our Experts + The Group / \nWhen you buy a Macintosh\, you get a “raft” of capable programs for free. Some are well known: Pages\, Keynote\, Number’s. A few are stealth powerhouses. “Preview” is one of those. It isn’t just good for viewing PDF files (and JPEGs and PNGs and TIFFs). It has a “hidden” toolbar that gives the user the ability to manipulate PDFs and other files in fun and useful ways. It is even a kind of poor man’s Photoshop. (OK\, a pauper’s Photoshop.) \nAt our April meeting we will do a deep dive into the many capabilities of this Apple freebee. Our experts will lead\, but we know other members have tricks and techniques to reveal also. Maybe that’s you! \nCome along to our virtual general meeting\, for information and camaraderie. \nHow to Attend: \nSince the beginning of the pandemic we have held our monthly General Meetings via the Zoom app. It has worked very well\, making attendance convenient for our growing number of members from outside the Portland area. \nPMUG will send out an email with an electronic invitation that will start a Zoom virtual meeting on your Mac or iOS device.
